Hot Temperatures, Low Rain Chances

It looks like we’ve got a pretty straightforward weather pattern unfolding for the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas this week.

For most of us, we’re anticipating a mix of sunshine and clouds to start the week, which is fairly typical for this time of year. As we move through Monday and Tuesday, we’re seeing highs climbing into the mid-90s, which is definitely on the warmer side of normal for the region. Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories continue. Winds will generally be light out of the northwest or north-northwest, so not too much relief expected from them.

However, the atmospheric setup doesn’t suggest any significant changes that would bring in widespread rain chances or cooler air just yet. We’ll continue to monitor any subtle shifts in the upper atmosphere that could influence our forecast, especially as we look further out. For now, expect plenty of summer sunshine with just a few clouds popping up here and there…
