ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Asheville Police Department and the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program have kicked off their annual “Labor Day Booze It & Lose It” campaign.
This statewide enforcement initiative, which begins on Monday, Aug. 25, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 7, aims to highlight the dangers of impaired driving.
According to a press release from APD, Labor Day is one of the “busiest and most dangerous” weekends to travel of the year. Drivers should expect to see an increase in law enforcement on roadways during this time…
