ROCKPORT, Texas (KWTX) – On August 25, 2017, Hurricane Harvey made landfall around 10 p.m. in Rockport as a Category 4 storm with 130 miles per hour sustained winds, the strongest hurricane to hit Texas since Carla swept ashore near Rockport in 1961.
