Multiple state departments of transportation are progressing on bridge projects including Massachusetts, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas. MassDOT will replace its Rourke Bridge in Lowell, MA with a new $303 million structure expected to open in 2029 and complete development in 2030. The Kentucky Public Transportation Infrastructure Authority approved a $933 million four-lane bridge project to take traffic on the I-69 across the Ohio River, scheduled to be completed in late 2026.
