SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) – The Springfield Police Department, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and eight other local agencies arrested 27 impaired drivers during a 10-hour saturation patrol on Saturday, Aug. 23.
The multi-jurisdictional effort was organized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Officers used marked patrol vehicles to enforce hazardous moving violations commonly associated with intoxicated driving. A total of 419 vehicles were stopped during this multi-jurisdictional patrol.
