BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — We are now seeing video of the moments Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies caught up to a reckless teen driver. According to BCSO, on Sunday, Aug. 10, deputies received reports of street racing involving multiple young drivers in Albuquerque.
Deputies attempted to pull over a grey Dodge Charger on Prosperity Street when the driver took off, leading law enforcement on a high speed chase that continued onto Second Street. The driver managed to get away, but later that day, deputies caught up to him at the intersection of Sunport and Broadway.
BCSO says the driver and passengers in the vehicle were all minors. In a post the office shared, they stated “incidents like this are becoming all too common across New Mexico, as juvenile crime continues to spiral out of control.” They went on to say, “Accountability is not optional.”…
