‘Like grandma used to make’ breakfast spot opens after Littleton Cafe closes

DENVER (KDVR) — Two sisters from a Colorado small town took over what was once Littleton Cafe and started a new breakfast spot after the previous owners retired.

The building on Littleton Boulevard started originally as an IHOP with a big, blue A-framed roof, and was later turned into Littleton Cafe, with the well-known red roof. For 14 years, the breakfast spot served the Littleton community until the owners decided to close and retire earlier this summer.

But Littleton isn’t out of a diner.

Momma’s Kitchen just opened in the place of Littleton Cafe, serving up “food like your mom used to make,” said the new owner, Brandi Fehringer.

Fehringer said she worked in the restaurant business for her entire adult life as a manager and lead server, but her dream was to always open up a restaurant of her own. So, in 2019, she opened Rory’s Diner in Parker, and after a few years, she decided to expand…
