[1] Set of lawsuits filed against catholic churches in southern New Mexico – Several people are coming forward, saying they were sexually abused by clergy members from multiple churches in southern New Mexico. Now they’re suing both the Catholic Diocese of El Paso and the Diocese of Las Cruces.
[2] Lawmakers consider high-tech solution to New Mexico’s high uninsured driver rate – New Mexico lawmakers are considering a proposal that would allow law enforcement to use advanced technology to crack down on uninsured drivers. Lawmakers reviewed implementing a program called “Annie” which uses license plate reading technology to identify if a vehicle has insurance by checking a real time insurance data base.
