A dramatic rescued unfolded early Monday morning as crews worked to save a horse from a swimming pool near Thomas Creek Road.
Washoe County Animal Services received an emergency call shortly after 3 a.m. when the horse, which did not belong to the homeowner, fell into the pool after mistaking the cover for solid ground.
