BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Once one of Birmingham’s most celebrated fine dining experiences, Highlands Bar & Grill has been closed since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
In the years since, many restaurants have closed–some temporarily, some for good– and others have weathered the storm, but the restaurant by chef Frank Stitt and his wife, Pardis, has remained closed. Over the years, Stitt has remained mum on the future of the restaurant. Now, however, there is some clue about what could be coming.
In a new profile on the Stitts family published in Birmingham Business Journal, managing editor Marie Leech was quick to note how long the Five Points South staple has been empty, even as Stitts’ other offerings, such as Bottega and Chez Fonfon, are still open…
