BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Defense counsel plans to file paperwork illustrating why Fernando Jara, accused of threatening his wife, Kern County Supervisor Leticia Perez, is a suitable candidate for mental health diversion.
If granted entry to a diversion program, Jara would be able to get his case dismissed if he successfully completed all terms and followed court orders.
