Attack Inside North Carolina Jail

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Remy St. Felix, 25, was sentenced to six years and 10 months for retaliating against a witness while in custody. The assault took place on October 8, 2024, at a detention center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Court records reveal that St. Felix was released from a holding cell and immediately attacked the witness, identified as “Witness-1,” who was restrained in shackles and handcuffs. St. Felix repeatedly punched him in the head and body, calling him a “rat” and blaming him for his lengthy prison term.

That evening, prosecutors said, St. Felix even called his mother and girlfriend to brag about the assault.
