PALMETTO, Fla. (WFLA) — A severe storm yesterday in Manatee County caused extensive damage to multiple homes in the Shadow Brooke Mobile Home community.
“It happened so fast; it was here, and then it was gone,” resident William Meade said.

The severe storm’s winds swept away Meade’s carport.
“It started to pick up,” Meade said. “It was raining and I decided to go inside. As I went inside I went into the other room and that’s when the wind really took off and I heard all the panic and commotion.”…
