In the growing community of Wildomar, where family-owned restaurants bring heart and flavor to the neighborhood, Papa G’s Pizza & Pasta has become a go-to spot for locals looking for more than just a quick slice. Opened in 2016 by Joshua Garzeti, the restaurant is named after his father, Georgio, and rooted in a deep family connection to food. Joshua’s journey into the owning a pizza business has been in the works for a while—he worked at chain restaurants through high school and later at Domino’s—but it was one bite of his grandfather’s pizza at a family gathering that changed everything. That taste sparked a passion and set him on the path to opening a place of his own, where quality, care, and authenticity would be the foundation.
From the beginning, Joshua’s vision for Papa G’s was clear: create an approachable neighborhood pizzeria with an open-view kitchen, where guests could see the care and craft that went into every pie. Nothing about the process is rushed. Their dough takes nearly 12 hours to make, rest, and proof, resulting in the consistency and flavor that regulars rave about. Every item on the menu—sandwich bread, sauces, dressings, and of course pizza—is made from scratch. It’s a labor of love, built on hard work and a refusal to cut corners. “Hard work and quality is what keeps us apart from average pizza places,” Joshua says, and the results speak for themselves.
