Gas prices continue to slide as summer winds down, leaving drivers across Florida and Osceola County with some relief at the pump. According to AAA, the national average today sits at $3.16, with Florida drivers paying significantly less at an average of $2.92 per gallon. In Osceola County, prices mirror the state closely, averaging $2.93 per gallon.

For comparison, on August 21, 2020, the national average stood at just $2.18. While today’s prices aren’t that low, analysts note the current levels are encouraging for consumers who have battled fluctuating fuel costs all summer.

- Yesterday Avg.: $2.932
- Week Ago Avg.: $3.066
- Month Ago Avg.: $3.135
- Year Ago Avg.: $3.287
