Jersey City Salon Giving Free Haircuts, Braids, + School Supplies on 8/31

With September just around the corner, Hudson County students and teachers are prepping for all things back-to-school. A Jersey City salon and barbershop, Biscott Styles, is contributing to the back-to-school efforts by providing free haircuts, braids, and school supplies for local students. The event will take place on Sunday, August 31st from 10AM-3PM at 381 + 383 Summit Avenue in Journal Square. Event Details

Biscott Styles’ Back-to-School Community Event will take place on Sunday, August 31st from 10AM-3PM at 381 + 383 Summit Avenue in Journal Square — the location of the salon and barber shop. The initiative is designed to “ease the financial burden on families while ensuring students look and feel their best as they return to their studies,” per a press release.

Children ages 5-15 can enjoy completely free haircuts and hair braiding at each of the spots for the duration of the event. No appointments are necessary, and the services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to the free hair services, Biscott Styles will also be giving out free school supplies to attendees, while quantities last.
