Harding’s acquires 4 Village Market grocery stores in Southwest Michigan

KALAMAZOO, MI — Harding’s Friendly Markets is expanding its reach in Southwest Michigan.

The grocery retailer, established in Plainwell in 1944 by Mel Harding, announced the acquisition of four Village Market locations on Monday, Aug. 25.

The stores, located in Allegan, Colon, Decatur and Gobles, will all be rebranded and operated under the Harding’s Friendly Markets banner…
