Tear-down underway after Kentucky State Fair, organizers look ahead to next year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The 2025 Kentucky State Fair ended Sunday night, all the fun is getting packed away for the year, as the venue looks forward to more events in the coming weeks.

Organizers said the tear-down and clean-up process started as early as Saturday night following the World Championship Horse Show. Livestock was loaded up, and the inside of Freedom Hall started to get cleaned up.

Fair organizers compare the set up to a “mini-city” set up over the last 12 days. With over 1.2 million square feet used indoors and then over 100 acres used outside.
