Teen hits 4 cars in Northwest Florida, gets cited for careless driving

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — An 18-year-old Atmore man was cited with careless driving after hitting four vehicles Saturday evening in Escambia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The teen was driving an SUV north on State Road 97 when he “failed to maintain safe control of his vehicle,” an FHP news release said.

He crossed over into the southbound lanes, hitting the front left and left side of a van driven by a 63-year-old Pensacola woman heading south on State Road 97, according to a crash report.
