10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. Downtown Gulfport. 3101 Beach Blvd. S. Strolling and stationary street performers bring talent, fun, thrills and a circus atmosphere to the waterfront village with a chance to get up close to the action. Local makers and independent businesses offer arts, crafts and other goods, and foods from across the spectrum complement the many local restaurants in the village. Free admission and parking. World Play Music on the Porch Day

10:30 a.m.-noon. Saturday, Aug. 30. Safety Harbor Public Library, 101 2nd St. N. Celebrate music with a song on the front porch at Safety Harbor Public Library. Then cool down inside with a fun Ukulele jam along by Tampa Bay Ukulele Society volunteer musicians and enjoy some icy summer treats.

West Florida Y Runners Club

5 a.m. Thursdays, Aug. 28. Northside Christian, 7777 62nd Ave. N., St. Petersburg. Coached track workouts meet weekly. An all-paces welcome, 5-mile run meets at 5 a.m. in Dunedin at 2646 Bayshore Blvd. in front of the gym. Runners also meet on Sundays at 6 a.m. for a 13-mile loop, at the Clearwater City parking lot, 112 S. Osceola Ave. People run a variety of distances, up to 13 miles, and at a variety of paces.
