Texas Tech welcomes record incoming class for the new academic year

LUBBOCK, Texas — Monday marked the first day of classes at Texas Tech, as they welcomed a historic class of new students to Lubbock. The university announced that were over 10,000 incoming Red Raiders this year, the largest incoming class in school history.

Over 7,600 of these students are first-time students, which broke the record that was originally set in 2023. Despite nationwide concerns over dwindling attendance rates, Texas Tech has shown positive momentum in bringing students onto its campus.
