- Starting today, the Illinois Tollway will be closing the Belvidere Road bridge over I-90, east of downtown Roscoe, for bridge deck repairs. The work will be completed by September 13, 2025, but the duration is dependent on the weather. A detour will be marked on Swanson Road and IL Route 251. Delays should be expected.
- The mother of Jack Baumann told WTVO that a story garden has been completed in his memory at Prairie Hill Elementary School, where she teaches – a natural outdoor classroom where students are “able to freely wiggle and move around and be yourself and be, like, authentically you.”
