SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Attorney General Marty Jackley recently issued an advisory opinion stating that the 2025 bill mandating weekly updates to the statewide voter registration file on the Secretary of State’s website does not conflict with existing laws limiting online voter registration information.
Rep. Taylor Rehfeldt of Sioux Falls had requested the advisory opinion after the Legislature passed House Bill 1062.
