Eugene gas prices dip slightly, but still over 21 cents higher than last year

EUGENE, Ore. — Average gasoline prices in Eugene have decreased slightly by 1.7 cents per gallon over the past week, now averaging $3.82 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 78 stations in the area. Despite the recent drop, prices are still 21.1 cents per gallon higher than they were a year ago.

The survey revealed that the cheapest station in Eugene was priced at $3.43 per gallon Sunday, while the most expensive was $4.19 per gallon, marking a 76-cent difference. Across Oregon, the lowest price recorded Sunday was $3.32 per gallon, with the highest at $4.99 per gallon, a difference of $1.67.

Nationally, the average price of gasoline has risen by 3.4 cents per gallon in the last week, now averaging $3.12 per gallon. This is 18.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. Meanwhile, the national average price of diesel has decreased by 2.0 cents, standing at $3.651 per gallon…
