Police: Man disguised as worker arrested for burglary at Portland business

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A man wearing a hard hat and work clothes was arrested early Monday morning after police said he tried to pass himself off as an employee at a Northeast Portland business.

Officers were called to the 9700 block of Northeast Glass Plant Road just before 5 a.m., after a security guard reported seeing someone inside the building who didn’t belong there, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect dressed in coveralls, a work shirt and a hard hat. Investigators said he was also carrying a company key and lanyard that had been reported stolen on Sunday…
