Man beats woman who asked him to put out cigarette on Bronx subway train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who beat a woman who’d asked him to put out a cigarette on a subway train in the South Bronx.

The NYPD released video Monday of a suspect in connection with the July 26 assault aboard a 2 train in Mott Haven.

A 64-year-old woman was riding the train near the 149th Street–Grand Concourse station around 1:30 a.m. when the suspect sat across from her and lit up a cigarette, police said.

When she asked him to extinguish the cig, he attacked her, punching her throughout the body, according to police…
