Roof Above, city of Charlotte transforms former King’s College dorms into transitional housing for homeless men

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte is giving a second life to the former King’s College dorms, converting them into 64 units of transitional housing for working men and veterans experiencing homelessness.

The project, supported with $2.4 million from the city’s Housing Trust Fund, will offer more than just a place to stay. Residents will have access to case managers, mental health support, and a substance-free environment, all designed to help them rebuild their lives.
