Cincinnati Man Sentenced For Kentucky Federal Gun Crime

COVINGTON, KY.- A 30-year-old Cincinnati, Ohio, man will be spending the next two years in federal prison after being sentenced last Thursday to a federal gun crime.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Paul McCaffrey, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, Deshawn Parker, 30, of Cincinnati, Ohio, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning to 24 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to Possession of a Machine Gun.

According to documents filed with the District Court, on September 21, 2024, members of the Covington Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle being operated by Parker in Covington, Kentucky.
