Detroit man charged with first degree murder, stalking and more in shooting of his ex-wife at Henry Ford Hospital

DETROIT (WWJ) — First degree murder and other charges have been filed against a Detroit man who allegedly shot and killed his ex-wife in the basement of Henry Ford Hospital, setting off an intense manhunt in the city.

On Friday, Aug. 22, authorities said 53-year-old Mario Dewayne Green was armed with a handgun when he walked into the hospital, on West Grand Boulevard in Detroit, in search of 40-year-old Latricia Green, who was an employee there.

“He knew that he was prohibited from coming to the hospital because of his past stalking and harassment of Ms. Green at her job,” according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, in a news release Monday…
