Armed men posing as NYCHA workers steal over $200K in cash, jewelry from Brooklyn woman

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men impersonating New York City Housing Authority workers stole over $200,000 worth of cash and jewelry from a woman’s Brooklyn home earlier this month, authorities said Monday.

The suspects entered a residential building in the Cypress Hills Houses located in the vicinity of Sutter Avenue and Euclid Avenue at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 11 by impersonating NYCHA employees, officials said.

Once inside the building, the men displayed firearms to a 25-year-old woman and took approximately $7,000 and jewelry valued at approximately $200,000, cops said…
