LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Louisville man was arrested over the weekend after reportedly driving onto a sidewalk and hitting a pedestrian at the Kentucky State Fair.
Kentucky State Police said that Richard Schroer, 71, drove onto a sidewalk to get around workers.
An arrest citation alleged that someone tried to stop him by holding on to the mirror of the car, but Schroer continued to drive on the sidewalk. He reportedly hit another individual, injuring them.

He was placed under arrest and charged with:
- First-degree wanton endangerment
- Second-degree assault
- Leaving the scene of an accident—failure to render aid
- Possession of a controlled substance
