WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — A chase ended in Wake County Monday night when a driver crashed into Wake Forest Reservoir, deputies said.
According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy tried to conduct a traffic stop at Edgemont Road and Hodge Road near Wendell around 8:25 p.m. The man driving did not stop, however, and units began pursuing the vehicle.
Deputies followed the car until it reached Wait Avenue and Traditions Grande Boulevard in Wake Forest. At that point, the driver “lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the Wake Forest Reservoir.”…
