A new wildfire, dubbed the Sky Fire, has broken out this afternoon about 3 p.m. in the 20500 block of Sky High Ridge Road in the Little Lake area of Lower Lake, north of the ongoing Pickett Fire in Napa County
As of initial reports, the fire is approximately 25 acres in size and burning at a rapid rate of spread (RROS). Multiple firefighting resources are being sent to the scene.
An aircraft, previously assigned to the Pickett Fire, has been redirected to the Sky Fire, along with two tankers from Mendocino—Tankers 90 and 91.
The major access to the fire has a bridge with a 30,000 pound limit which is going to hinder large equipment responding to fight this incident…
