OVERLAND PARK, KS – Handel’s Ice Cream, a brand known for handmade ice cream since 1945, is opening its first Kansas location. The new shop will be near Oak Park Mall at 11885 West 95th Street. The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, August 28, at 11 a.m. The first 100 guests will have a chance to win free ice cream for a year.
Brendan and Mindy Mauri, Overland Park residents, are the franchisees bringing Handel’s to Kansas. Brendan has more than 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including serving as President of Rusty Taco, a fast-casual taco chain.
