SALEM, OR – Wednesday night’s Powerball jackpot is currently estimated to reach $815 million, the seventh biggest in the game’s history, after no grandprize-winning tickets were sold for Monday night’s drawing. This will be the first time the Powerball has climbed this high since the $1.3 billion jackpot was won in Portland on April 6, 2024.
According to Oregon Lottery officials, the Powerball jackpot has been won 11 times since the $1.3 billion dollar win in Oregon, with winning jackpots all under $700 million. Since the current jackpot run up began on June 1, Oregon has seen 546,633 winners and more than $7.6 million in total Powerball game winnings. Four Powerball jackpots have been won this year, including the $328.5 million prize won by a Beaverton man on January 18.
“With Oregon’s two recent Powerball jackpot wins, the excitement for our players extends to their community and our retailers,” said Heidi Quiring, Oregon Lottery’s manager of player services. “A win of this size can have a significant ripple effect.”
