HFD extinguishes Ewa Beach house fire

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Fire Department extinguished an Ewa Beach residential building soon after 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 26.

Firefighters were first made aware of the blaze at 12:18 a.m., where they arrived within 10 minutes to fight the fire that was on the second floor of a single-family residence.

Kunia fire deemed no accident, intentionally set: HPD

All occupants were able to evacuate the building safely.

HFD’s investigator was able to determine that the fire had ignited from an unattended candle, ruling the nature of the fire as accidental. As a result, the fire caused approximately $180,000 in damages…
