The Akron Police Department celebrated the advancement of its personnel in a promotional ceremony held at the Akron Main Library Auditorium yesterday. In a statement obtained by the Akron Police Department’s social media page, the department announced the promotion of six Sergeants to the rank of Lieutenant, and six Officers were elevated to Sergeant. The ceremony acknowledges and thanks these twelve individuals for their dedication and hard work in serving the community.
