ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Metropolitan Sewerage District of Buncombe County sent out a notification on Aug. 26 about a discharge of more than 19,000 gallons of untreated sewage that happened on Aug. 25.
The discharge was reported at 1006 Old Marshall Highway in Asheville, according to a news release.
“The cause of the discharge has been corrected and the affected area has been checked for any residual effects. This notice was required by North Carolina General Statues Article 21 Chapter 143.215.C,” the release said…
