Asheville expands high-traffic zones to address panhandling in city ordinance update

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — On Tuesday, August 26, the Asheville City Council approved amending the city ordinance addressing panhandling and solicitation, according to a press release.

The amendments include increasing the size of a high-traffic zone in the central business district and adding more high-traffic zones on and around Haywood Road and Patton Avenue.
