Tourism spending up in Erie and Niagara counties for 2024

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — New data released by a New York State-commissioned research study suggests visitor spending is up in Niagara County.

According to the study, conducted by Tourism Economics, visitor spending reached $1.163 billion in 2024, a 6.4% increase over 2023.

The study says tourism activity in 2024 generated over $63 million in local taxes, which is 4.3% more than 2023, and over $54 million in state taxes, a 6% increase over 2023. The revenue generated equates to an average of $1,1276 in tax savings per household in Niagara County…
