New ambulance to reduce emergency response times in Cheatham County

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — When seconds can be a matter of life and death, access to emergency care is pivotal.

And in some rural areas of Cheatham County, emergency response time was averaging close to 30 minutes. Now, county leaders have taken steps to reduce that time.

Starting next week, Cheatham County Emergency services will station an ambulance along with a crew in Henrietta.

The ambulance will sit at the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department Station No. 7 on Highway 12. It will be manned by a two-person crew four days a week on 12-hour shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m…
