Victim was thrown out of car during deadly shooting at Columbia apartment complex, report says

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A law enforcement incident report is giving some new details on a fatal shooting that took place last Friday at an apartment complex in Columbia where many college students stay.

Richland County deputies released Monday an incident report on a shooting that took place just before 1 p.m. Friday at a set of apartment at 1051 Southern Drive. Those units are typically known as The Roost.

Deputies said when they arrived on scene they found a man lying in the middle of the road inside the units. The incident report now states that they were told the victim was thrown out of a gold Chevy Tahoe that drove away from the scene…
