Justice for Chello protestors air their grievances to Erie Co. Council again

Those demanding answers after the shooting death of Marchello Woodard again took their plea to Erie County Council.

At Tuesday night’s meeting, members of the Justice for Chello coalition spoke out. It’s been almost eight weeks since state police said Marchello Woodard was shot by a state parole agent near East 27th and German Streets.

Since then, family, friends and community supporters have been frustrated by the lack of information from investigators. That frustration was obvious Tuesday night.

“Right now, we need to show this family some respect. They’ve been grieving since July 2 of this year. Someone needs to come out and speak to the family. There needs to be a name given, once again, an arrest, charges brought and tried and convicted,” said Jerry Roberts of the Justice for Chello Coalition.
