CHP: Man killed in crash involving Lincoln SUV in Madera County

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An unhoused person was killed after being hit by a Lincoln Navigator driver in Madera County over the weekend, the California Highway Patrol said.

Officers responded to a crash in the area of Cobb Ranch Boulevard, north of Avenue 9, on Sunday at around 10:33 p.m. The crash resulted in the death of a homeless man riding a Mongoose BMX-type bicycle.

CHP officers report the 39-year-old man was riding his bicycle southbound within the southbound lane of Cobb Ranch Boulevard, north of Avenue 9. At the same time, a 31-year-old man from Fresno was driving a blue Lincoln Navigator south on Cobb Ranch Boulevard…
