RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Randolph County’s sheriff’s office is getting a major upgrade to their fleet.
County commissioners approved more than $1.5 million for the sheriff’s office to use to buy new cars that will make it easier for deputies to respond to calls on rural roads.

Sheriff Greg Seabolt says some rural roads are inaccessible by car without a four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, so deputies have had to park their cars and walk to respond to calls. These new vehicles will change that.
