Cyclist dead after collision with semitruck in Alcoa

ALCOA, Tenn. (WATE) — A cyclist suffered serious injury after a collision with a semitruck Tuesday morning, the Alcoa Police Department said.

A cyclist and an 18-wheeler semitruck were traveling on East Hunt Road. They collided at North Wright Road, seriously injuring the cyclist, police said. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.

Missing 15-year-old from Knox County found safe

First responders, including APD, responded to the call at 7:54 a.m. on Tuesday. The cyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
