Prichard voters highlight need for growth and change

PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — Collins Roads Elementary School on Saint Stephens Road is one of the six polling locations where Prichard residents are casting their ballots.

Benita Blanson, a Prichard resident who cast her ballot at the elementary school, has lived in the city for three years. She told News 5 why she felt it was important to show up and vote on Tuesday.

“I showed up; today is very important because Prichard is growing, and we need someone that’s going to provide that change and grow with the growth of Prichard,” Blanson said. “Someone who has the best interests for its citizens. Someone who is, like I said, going to grow and actually listen to the concerns that the citizens have. So it’s very important to have someone that’s open-minded.”
