Pensacola man indicted on drug trafficking, money laundering

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola man has been indicted on charges involving drug trafficking and money laundering.

According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Florida, Jovon “Playa Pat” Booker, 32, is charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, conspiracy to commit money laundering, money laundering through high-end jewelry purchases, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

His arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. with United States Magistrate Judge Hope Thai Cannon.
