Two Arrested in Connection with Series of Hate Crime Paintball Attacks in Fontana and San Bernardino County

FONTANA, CA — “The Fontana Police Department has been working closely with Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Fontana Station, about several hate crime incidents over the past three months that occurred in both agencies’ jurisdictions.

In these incidents, the suspects would target African-American victims, who are usually homeless at bus stops. The suspects would pull up to them in their vehicle and shoot at them with a paintball gun causing injuries while screaming racial slurs.

On 08/19/2025, suspects Michael Razo (22-year-old resident of Highland) and Humberto Silva (24-year-old resident of Colton) were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and a hate crime enhancement. Search warrants were served at their residences and evidence related to the crimes was located…
