DES MOINES, Iowa — Several Des Moines organizations will receive additional funding to address affordable housing needs, Polk County officials announced Tuesday.
Approved during a Tuesday Polk County Board of Supervisors meeting, the county is dispersing the last of its federal funding from a COVID-era program. $10.2 million will be allocated for housing projects, creating over 400 affordable rental housing units at 50% of the area median income or below.
